We all know what it takes to stay physically healthy, and most of us wouldn’t skip our dental check-ups. But what about our mental health? Too often, we take it for granted – until we face challenges.

Where It Began

Originally I began creating this course for clients, and for the people who couldn’t get to Sydney for a workshop.

Even though I’m a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, I often see myself as a performance coach. In the 8 years of University training, I discovered I am a passionate nerd when it comes to the brain, the mind, and the connection to the body. For my research Doctorate, I created and tested an online program that worked to treat anxiety and depression. When I created that program there was a lot of demand to participate – and it made me realise just how many people have what’s called “sub-clinical” symptoms.

That’s when you don’t feel bad enough to get a diagnosis, but life is less than great. And you know it. It’s when you’re functioning well enough but feel burned out. Maybe you find yourself snapping at loved ones, struggling to sleep (or sleeping too much), comfort eating, or needing that glass of wine to wind down. These small signs are our minds and bodies telling us there’s room to thrive.
