We all know what it takes to stay physically healthy, and most of us wouldn’t skip our dental check-ups. But what about our mental health? Too often, we take it for granted – until we face challenges.
Just like regular physical exercise boosts your energy, working on your psychological skills can elevate your productivity, lift your mood, sharpen decision-making, and help you feel happier. It can even improve your immune system, enhance relationships, and give you the restful sleep you’ve been craving. We know what it feels like to be physically healthy – and we all take great care of our dental health. But what about our mental health? Mostly, we just take it for granted until challenged.
Where It Began
Originally I began creating this course for clients, and for the people who couldn’t get to Sydney for a workshop.
Even though I’m a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, I often see myself as a performance coach. In the 8 years of University training, I discovered I am a passionate nerd when it comes to the brain, the mind, and the connection to the body. For my research Doctorate, I created and tested an online program that worked to treat anxiety and depression. When I created that program there was a lot of demand to participate – and it made me realise just how many people have what’s called “sub-clinical” symptoms.
That’s when you don’t feel bad enough to get a diagnosis, but life is less than great. And you know it. It’s when you’re functioning well enough but feel burned out. Maybe you find yourself snapping at loved ones, struggling to sleep (or sleeping too much), comfort eating, or needing that glass of wine to wind down. These small signs are our minds and bodies telling us there’s room to thrive.

Many of my clients are gritty, resilient, and high-functioning individuals who are already “doing well.” They don’t want to settle for good – they’re searching for great. They want the tools to maximise their potential and fully enjoy life.
My clients come from all walks of life: Olympians and athletes, senior executives, emergency and health professionals, lawyers, and stay-at-home parents. Some have ADHD, while others identify as neurotypical but resonate with challenges like forgetfulness, overwhelm, and navigating big emotions. I love working with this group. I’m deeply passionate about neurodiversity and come from a family full of high-functioning ADHDers.
The people who take my course are nothing short of extraordinary – lawyers, doctors, executives, entrepreneurs, artists, and engineers. ADHD is everywhere. What I’ve observed, though, is that higher achievement often comes with higher levels of masking.
